چکیده
An important condition of any port-assembled floating offshore wind turbine concept is the de-ballasted transport stage. As hydrostatic and dynamic stability may vary greatly from operational condition, it needs to be carefully investigated in early stages design-phase. In this work, physical modelling OrthoSpar device was carried out determine roll pitch RAOs, as well load characteristics towing line. Towing simulated with a stationary model being subjected currents. To examine influence wave direction, range orientations towards incident waves were tested still water together state. Roll motions found highly dependent on frequency result low damping ratio. The amplitude influenced by direction regarding direction.

Unsteady aerodynamic analysis for offshore floating wind turbines under different wind conditions.
A free-vortex wake (FVW) model is developed in this paper to analyse the unsteady aerodynamic performance of offshore floating wind turbines. A time-marching algorithm of third-order accuracy is applied in the FVW model. Owing to the complex floating platform motions, the blade inflow conditions and the positions of initial points of vortex filaments, which are different from the fixed wind tur...
متن کاملSHM of Floating Offshore Wind Turbines— Challenges and First Solutions
The paper presents an integrated SHM-system for floater, moorings, tower, nacelle and rotor blades. Its core is based on a multivariate SHM-system for rotor blades with three different measuring techniques accompanied by appropriate signal processing approaches: Acoustic Emission (AE) is used for identification of relative small damages at the whole blade, e.g. bursts of fibres, cracks of bon...
متن کاملOn the Modeling of Spar-type Floating Offshore Wind Turbines
In this paper an overview about floating offshore wind turbines (FOWT) including operating conditions, property and applicability of the barge, tension-leg, and spar floating platforms is described. The spar-floating offshore wind turbines (S-FOWT) have advantages in deepwater and their preliminary design, numerical modeling tools and integrated modeling are reviewed. Important conclusions abou...

A Monte-Carlo Simulation using a code written at TU Delft named CONTOFAX [1] was ran to obtain an insight on improved maintenance strategies to increase the availability of the wind farm. Another approach to improve the reliability and therefore availability of the system, and which is the focus of this project, is to develop an intelligent maintenance system capable of responding to faults by ...
متن کاملNew Guideline for offshore wind turbines
The offshore wind energy market is developing fast. Turbines, substations and offshore sites are increasing in size and they are in more challenging environments. Therefore, the industry requires vigilance in maintaining standards to keep pace with technology developments, enabling safe deployment and long term operation. Certification of wind farms, wind turbines and their components is state-...
